Our focus in Europe

In Europe, ESB International has focused on large scale Operations and Maintenance and Owners Engineer projects. In the region, contracts have included YeniElektrik Power Station in Turkey, Delimara 4 in Malta, Amorebieta in Spain, and Brazi CCGT Power Plant in Romania. ESB International has also transitioned to offer all forms of renewable and storage expertise to the region.

Malta

In 2016 ESB International entered a contract with Electrogas Malta (EGM) to Operate and Maintain Delimara 4, a 210 MW combined cycle power plant. Delimara 4 is the first independent power plant in Malta and is fuelled by LNG from a floating storage unit and regasification plant.

We are responsible for all routine operation and maintenance, managing safety on-site, maintaining plant technical performance, and overhaul management.

Turkey

In 2012, ESB International opened an office in Ankara, Turkey. It provided ESB International with a platform to expand its operations in the Turkish market and housed several support functions to support our projects.

In 2013, ESB International won a significant contract in partnership with investment company UNIT that saw ESB International operate and maintain the Yeni Elektrik Power Station and provide technical and engineering support.
