The Project
The Oriel Project Area is located in the Irish Sea off the coast of County Louth, to the East of Dundalk Bay. Following an extensive review of sites in the Irish Sea, the most suitable area for developing an offshore energy project was the Oriel location. The wind farm will have a capacity of up to 370 MW, which will significantly contribute to the renewable energy target for Ireland.
The Challenge
Design of the wind farm, to maximise efficiency whilst reducing any impacts on the environment and local community. These plans, including the project design and environmental reports to be put forward for planning for both offshore and onshore elements in 2021.
The Solution
Preparation of Planning Permission for the onshore element including.
- 220 kV Substation & underground cable Design
- Underground Cable Design
- Construction Methodology
- Traffic Diversion Reports
- Stakeholder & Landowner Management
- Project Management
- Public Consultation
What we will deliver
In 2021 planning permission will be submitted for both the offshore and onshore elements. These will include the ESB studies' outcome for the onshore details across Civil, Structural, Electrical, Environmental & Energy for the Oriel Wind Farm Project (330 MW).
What we do
We offer a comprehensive range of solutions for both public and private clients, right through the life cycle of their projects and the energy value chain.
